How To Deal With Loneliness During Self-Isolation

For most of us, quarantine or social isolation may feel like a cruel social experiment that has forced us to be away from people whom we depend on for love and support. While self-isolation during this pandemic is undoubtedly beneficial for you and your loved ones’ health, the loneliness that comes with it can inevitably take a toll on your emotional and mental well-being. Loneliness, if allowed to fester, can end up leaving you questioning your self-worth. If you are feeling alone due to a lack of everyday social interaction, here are a few things you can do to help yourself:

1. Maintain a schedule

Even if you are staying alone at home, make sure you maintain a regular schedule as much as you can. It may feel like this period of loneliness has no end in sight, but getting through the days as normally as possible will help you overcome that overbearing feeling. Wake up early, work out, eat healthy, journal, and try to do something creative to spend time.

2. Stay connected with your loved ones

Just because you cannot meet someone in person does not mean that you still can’t talk to them or see them. If you are good with technology, there are so many ways in which you can stay in touch with family and friends, whether it is through group video calls or even through non-traditional mediums like online multiplayer games.

3. Practice self-love

Finding ways to love yourself when you are alone is the best way to improve your mental and emotional health. Devote time every day to take care of yourself. Do not wallow in self-criticism or think any negative thoughts about yourself. This is the perfect time to relax and eliminate all that stress from your life.

4. Join a Healing & Clearing Circle

To stay in a higher vibration we are offering a free Healing & Clearing Circle through zoom every Tuesday & Thursday @ 1pm EST. Join us as we clear the fear of the virus, boost your immune system, clear your living & work space and disconnect you from the mass fear and replace it with Love. I find these healing circles myself so nourishing to the soul, since we use our High Self to clear, while we bring ourselves up through healing and being in community. It’s a fabulous group and I highly recommend it. Sign up here:
